We're a recognised RYA training centre. All of our instructors are highly qualified to RYA Yachtmaster, coupled with a wealth of local knowledge to navigate and teach practical courses around the Balearic islands.
Meet the team
Tony Whittaker, Principal
Tony is an experienced Yachtmaster Instructor and has had more than 20 years as a sea school principal, first of all based in Hull, UK, navigating the tidal waters of the North Sea and the Humber. Now he's based in Mallorca and delighted to be the principal of Palma Sea School with its excellent team of instructors.
For the past 20 years he has been a Yachtmaster instructor trainer for both power and sail. He also is a trainer for Sea Survival Instructors, Radar Instructors, Diesel Engine Instructors and a Powerboat Instructor trainer. He is an examiner of YM Power, Sail and YM Ocean.
He also teaches MCA Approved Engine course and Yachtmaster Motor prep.
Mags is a STCW95 First Aid, Personal Survival Techniques and PSSR instructor. She is a trainer for the SRC Assessors and Shorebased Instructors.
Mags runs the Shorebased Theory Courses up to Ocean and Yachtmaster Prep Sail.
John and Mags Hart have over 30 years experience of running sea schools within the RYA scheme.
Vicky is the school coordinator and first point of contact. She has 10 years experience in the yachting industry. Four years as a sea school coordinator. Vicky will do her best to answer all of your questions and give you all of the information you need on our courses.
