Course description
The RYA Day Skipper Sail training course runs over 5 days, teaching essential skills and knowledge such as pilotage, navigation, seamanship & boat handling – all to the standard required from a skipper of a small sailing yacht up to 24 meters safely by day in (non tidal) waters with which the student is familiar.
This is very much a hands-on course, with little time to teach navigation or other theoretical subjects. It is therefore recommended that you take the Day Skipper Shorebased course prior to your practical course so you can put those skills into practice on the water.
