What is included in the Bundle?

Week 1: MCA AEC1 ( The Foundation)

• Focus: The Diesel Engine & Basic Maintenance.
• What you learn: You will start with the basics of the 4-stroke cycle, combustion, and construction. You will get hands-on experience bleeding fuel systems, changing filters, and understanding the cooling and lubrication systems that keep the engine alive.
• Goal: Confidence to identify components and perform routine maintenance.

Week 2: MCA AEC2 (The Upgrade)

• Focus: Advanced Hotel & Auxiliary Systems.
• What you learn: Building on your new knowledge, we dive into the complex systems that actually run the boat: Refrigeration (AC), Hydraulics, Electrical distribution, and Sewage systems. You will also cover essential legislation (MARPOL) and maintenance management (PMS).
• Goal: Competence to manage the entire vessel’s engineering department (up to 24m).

Prerequisites & Schedule

• Experience: None required to start Week 1.
• Age: Minimum 18 years old.

Note: While the MCA recommends 1 month of sea service between AEC1 and AEC2 to consolidate learning, it is permitted to take them consecutively, provided you are ready for an intensive learning experience.
